Fun Day

Since Josiah was having surgery on Thursday and we had met my mom to drop off Elaina, we decided to let Josiah have a super fun day on Wednesday. 

We started our day at the Botanical Gardens for Little Sprout (their kids story time).  This was just Josiah, Emmett, and myself.  Trey had taken the cats to the vet, which caused Josiah to freak out a little because he didn't want the cats to have to get shots.  As we drove up he saw his friends Simon and his sister Claire were there.  He was super excited and had fun running around the garden after the story time with his friends.

After that we came home and Trey and I ate some lunch and told Josiah we were taking him so place really cool for lunch.  We took him to Fun City and he got to eat pizza and play a bunch of games.  He loved playing all the games and really did great playing the Deal or No Deal game.  He decided that he wanted to save his tickets for a lava lamp so we didn't get any prizes this time. 

Next we went to Locomotion to ride go karts.  He started out riding the family one with Trey, and then was able to ride the kiddie one by himself.  He was so proud that he got to drive by himself.  He did a really good he didn't hit the side rails at all.  He had been begging to go there for months and even said that he was going to start eating like a big boy to get to go there (and he really has added a lot of new foods to his diet).  He was so big looking when he was driving his go kart. 

It was a good thing that Elaina was not with us at Locomotion, because she would not have been able to ride the kiddie karts.  You had to be 4 to drive them, so I know that she would not have been happy.  Emmett didn't seem to mind, he slept through everything and was happy.

We had a great fun day.  I know that he was happy to get to do all the things that he enjoys, and I am glad that we were able to give him a fun day.  After his surgery he will be off his feet for a little while.
