Farmland Adventure

Last weekend we went to Farmland Adventure.  Of course the battery in my camera was dead when we got there so we had to take the pictures with Trey's phone. (here is a link to last year's trip) Last year Josiah loved feeding the animals, and this year neither kid even show any interest in the animals.  Well other than the calves that we got to feed tortillas to on the tractor ride.

They really liked the corn box and climbing on the hay bales.  Elaina is fearless and was only a few steps behind Josiah on everything.

We were showing Josiah the tunnel and telling him to show Elaina how to go through it and she just took off through it herself.  She didn't get the whole crawl through it thing; she would sit on her bottom and scoot through.  As soon as she would get out of the tunnel she would run as fast as she could around all the hay and go back through it.  It was so funny to watch.

She was not happy when we left the hay and tunnel; until she got to play in the corn.

We tried to take a family picture while we were on the tractor ride, but they all turned out blurry.

They also got to ride ponies.  I am not sure how much Elaina like it but she did stay on it the whole time.  Last time we tried she grabbed onto me and climbed off the pony as soon as I put her on it.

Samuraizer Disappointment & Minnie Excitement

Josiah LOVES to get mail.  In fact he kind of gets upset if he goes to long with out getting a package.  I guess his grandparents have really spoiled him.  Anyway last Thursday they got a package and needless to say both of them were ecstatic.

Well Josiah's excitement was very short lived.  He is really into Power Rangers Samurai right now and he finally got a Samuraizer.  That is was the people on the show use to turn into Power Rangers.  Well apparently he thought that is he got one that he would turn into a REAL power ranger.  He handed it to me and said it is broken, it is not turning me into a power ranger.

Not knowing what was going on I told him to go get his mask and he would be a power ranger.  Well that was the wrong thing to say, because he became distraught.  His little heart was broken.  He told me No that it was suppose to turn him into a REAL power ranger.  Thankfully I caught myself before I laughed; I was finally starting to realize what was going on.

I finally was able to get him calmed down enough to explain that it was just a toy.  That he didn't have a real Samuraizer he just had a toy one.  He is now ok with it being a toy and is having lots of fun playing with his TOY Samuraizer.

Elaina on the other hand LOVED her part of the package.  She got some necklaces, bracelets, and a Minnie Mouse doll.  She made me put the necklaces on her right away and started carrying Minnie around.

Minnie is now one of her bed toys.  Minnie has to be in bed with Elaina and is one of the 1st things she hands me when I go to get her out of bed in the morning.  It is so funny to hear her say Minnie Mouse; she really enunciates the MOUSE part.

She also loves playing with Trey's hats.  She took this one away from him and had to put it on with her necklaces.

As soon as she saw me taking her picture, she ran and got the sunglasses that were laying on the floor.  She really shows out when a camera is near.

It is Impossible

.....To get a group picture of my kids.

Sunday before church I thought I would get a picture of the kids with Trey.  Yeah, that didn't go so well.

Elaina didn't want to sit still and Josiah just didn't want to have his picture taken.

It is just impossible to get them all to look at the camera at the same time.

This is the best I could get.

Fire Station Trip

What a difference a year makes.  Last year at the fire station Elaina stayed in the stroller. (click here to see that post.)  This year Little Missy would even dream of sitting in the stroller.  She had to walk around and show off her backpack.

The preschool group toured the fire station again this year.  Josiah had a great time, but was a little disappointed that they didn't get to shoot the cone with the fire hose this year.

He still had fun and got to climb up in the trucks and look at all the gear and gadgets.

When the Josiah was looking at all the hoses and hook ups, Elaina started yelling football.  I had no idea why she was saying that and I told her that those were not footballs.  I finally figured it out later in the tour when they let the kids climb up in the truck.  When I was taking this picture of Josiah I fugured it all out.

You can see the super s that is logo that is on Springdale's helmets on both of the windows on the truck.  Anytime she sees this she will yell football or bulldogs.

Elaina wouldn't climb up in the truck with all the other kids, but she would climb in a drive the smaller truck.  I guess she didn't want to just sit in the seat; she wanted to drive.

The kids all had a great time at the fire station and I am sure that we will go back next year.  Oh I almost forgot, Josiah picked out his own shirt that day; he had to wear his fire truck shirt.

My kids love playing with daddy

I guess you can call this playing, or is it more attacking.  I can't always tell, but they all seemed to have fun.

Trey is now in trouble bc Elaina has joined in the let's attack daddy time.  She loves to climb and sit on Trey and start bouncing up and down.

I love that the kids have so much fun with their daddy.  I swear their favorite moment of the day is when they hear the door to the garage open and Trey comes walking in.  It is a race to see who can get to daddy first.
