Here are some picture from Christmas with my family. We had a great time but were all so tired when we got home.

Finally made it back home. Josiah wanted to play then go to bed.

Josiah's Christmas Stash. The little guy won't need any toys for a long time.

Cruising in the walker.

He really can move in the walker

Christmas with Trey's family

Here are some pictures from our Christmas with Trey's family.

What are you talking about Grandpa?

Playing with Jase.

I really like my Saints outfit. See I am trying to eat it; that's what I do with all my favorite things.

Everyone was being so loud. I got scared and everyone thought it was funny. I disagree it was NOT funny.

All the cool toys & I get stuck in a box!!
Where's Josiah?
We had a great time. Josiah really enjoyed the time with his grandparents. He will have plenty of things to play with now. Most of his toys are now ones that make noises but he loves them so we will just have to get use to all the little kids songs & noises.

Christmas 2009

We had a wonderful Christmas. We got to spend time with our family and eat great food as we celebrated the birth of our Savior. Josiah got lots of awesome toys. All the new toys made me realize that we have reached a new stage in his life....the toys are now noisy ones. We opened 2 of them last night for him to play with & he LOVED them. He has played with his puppy & laptop and he would just laugh & smile as he played with them. Well for about 10 minutes then he went to playing with the boxes & bags.

Below are some pictures of Josiah's 1st Christmas.

Josiah opening his 1st present. (Well 1st one that was his & he was suppose to open)
Josiah playing with all the boxes.

I love my little puppy. Momma & Daddy never told me that toys could make all these sounds. They were withholding important info from me.
The true test of the new toys the Bite Test. If I bite it I like it!!

Branson Christmas trip

This past Friday Trey & I celebrated our 5th anniversary. We decided to go to Branson & let Josiah see all the Christmas lights. We knew that he would love the tree. My parents have always went on weekend trips to Branson through out the year so they decided to meet us up there. Since they were meeting us we decided to go to the Dixie Stampede and let them watch Josiah for the evening. We had a lot of fun & Josiah even got to see snow. Well I think he could see it the little flakes were so small that they didn't even show up on the pictures, but that is as good as it get for us.

Saturday it was sooo COLD. Poor little Josiah was so bundled up he must have felt like the little brother on a Christmas Story. He had a good time at Silver Dollar City looking at all the people & the lights. They have a huge Christmas Tree with lights set to music. He stared at the tree in amazement.
The tree is set to music and the lights change in beat with the music. There are several videos of it on YouTube.

Josiah just stared at it the whole time. I don't even think he blinked during the show.

Trey & I had a nice dinner at the Dixie Stampede and really enjoyed the show. We even got picked to do the stick horse race. We won and got medals for our effort. Josiah did great with the grandparents, he was sound asleep in his pack and play when we got back to our room.

We were able to do a little shopping at the outlet malls on Sunday morning and then went back to Silver Dollar City to watch the performance of A Christmas Carole. We had seen it before but I have a friend from high school that is in it. Trey had to take Josiah out because he thought that he needed to talk to the actors. He was not bad, but we didn't want to be the parents that let their child disrupt the show for other. Trey sat out in the lobby & listened to the show & played with Josiah.

He sure can make some mean faces with his helmet on.

We had a great time. It was a nice anniversary present to each other.

Christmas Tree

Josiah + Christmas Tree + walker = TROUBLE

Josiah loves to get in his walker & check out the tree. Here are a couple of pictures of him checking out the tree.
Pulling closer to the tree
Hey, This looks pretty cool.
Shortly after this picture he found the little snowman ornament in the bottom of the picture. That became his favorite. I had to carefully pry it out of his hands twice (of course it is not plastic). He would go all around the tree till he found it and then grab it. It is now up higher on the tree out of his reach.

Josiah's 1st Christmas Parade

Our town's Christmas parade was last week and I thought we just had to take Josiah. Apparently Trey had never been to a Christmas Parade either. He claims that he never even heard of such until he moved to Arkansas for college. He asked me when we were waiting on the parade to start if they were going to throw stuff at us like at Mardi Gras(he's from Louisiana). I laughed and said no.

It was a little cold so we had to bundle Josiah up in a lot of layers. He really seemed to enjoy the parade. He like all the bands and the lights on the floats. The only thing he disliked was the siren on the fire engine.

Getting ready for the parade!

Where's Josiah? In his little baby burrito.

He refused to keep this hand in the bundle. It was so red and cold when we got home.

What was that sound I don't think I like it?

I do NOT like sirens!!!

Rough sleeper?

Josiah has moved his bed time from around 8:30 to some time between 7:00 & 7:30. We finally realized that he wanted to go to bed earlier & put him down & he was so happy. He has woke up much happier in the mornings now. This is what we found the other day when we got him up.
I got my legs out of my pjs.......
But wait it gets better.............I got my arm out too.................Maybe next time I will get them off completely!

My little toy hoarder

Josiah is a little toy hoarder. He has to get all the toys he can & pull them as close to him as possible. He are several pictures to confirm my observation.

During his bath the other night he started kicking and laughing. I thought he was playing in his little ducky tub. Nope he was kicking all his bath toys up to his hands. The minute he grabbed them all he stopped kicking. He had let his football duck go by the time we took the picture. He has 3 small toys & 2 bigger ducks. You can't see the little green frog that is hid under his elbow.
I always spread his toys out across the sheet for him to roll and play with & he pulls them all within arms reach.

Playing with 3 toys at one time.
Again he has pulled them all to him were he can easily get what he wants. He is even has toys under him.

Thanksgiving

Since it is Thanksgiving I thought I would list a few of the things that I am thankful for
  1. I am thankful that God sent his son Jesus to die and save me from my sins.
  2. I am thankful for an for a great family. I have an awesome husband that does so much for me. Thanks Trey for all the things that you do for me; I couldn't do it without you. Josiah, my wonderful little boy, is a true blessing. He is such a happy little (ok not so little) baby and more importantly he is healthy.
  3. I am thankful for my parents who taught me the love of Christ and made sure that I knew the importance of living my life for God.
  4. I am thankful that I am an American and that I am free.
  5. I am thankful for all the men and women in the military that protect my freedom.
  6. I am thankful that I am a high school teacher. I have the opportunity to work with so many teens and show them God's love.
  7. I am thankful for a great church & Sunday school class that encourages me to grow as a Christian.
  8. I am thankful for great friends that would do anything for me.

Just a cute little picture of my little monster b/c what blog post would be complete without one.

Biting daddy and making a mean monster face.

I really don't have anything to blog about. Can't think of any cute stories or any thing special to blog about so this will just be a random post. I am going to look at the pictures that I have taken this month and post a few of them. I just wanted to have a blog post for Trey when he checks tomorrow.
I Like my new seat now!

Daddy you better not give me an empty spoon again. You won't like it if I get angry!

Bath Time

We have moved Josiah's little tub into our tub, because he likes to make a big mess. He is sitting up and loves to play (or eat) his little duck. He has also started to try to drink the water as we rinse his face.
