Dirt Boy and a wagon ride

The weather has been amazing lately,  highs in upper 70s to lower 80s.  We have been playing outside a lot.  This week after preschool we have had on the playground.  The kids have had so much fun playing in the sunshine.  Tuesday I dressed Josiah in pants and he got really hot and red faced.  Well today I dug out some shorts for him to wear, and he was much more comfortable.  The boys decided that it was a perfect day to play in the dirt.

At one point we looked over and one kids was making dirt angels.  Of course they tried to bury each other and throw dirt and just have a great time.  Josiah was putting dirt on one of the boys back at the top of his pants while the kid was putting his face in a pile of dirt.
If the amount of dirt on Josiah is any indication of the fun he had; I'd say he had a blast.  All 3 boys looked like this.  I had to shake dirt out of his hair before we left and clean him up with a wipee, just to get him home for a bath.

This evening a certain little boy finally decided that he would eat his supper so we were finally able to go for a walk.  We have wanted to several evenings but he refused to eat so was straight to the tub and then to bed.  He was refusing to eat his spaghetti b/c he wanted to play.  Well tonight we took the kids out in the wagon.  Josiah decided that he needed to take his light sabers, and walked most of the way.  He attacked the fire hydrate, got it stuck in the crack of the sidewalk, and whacked a stop sign or two.

He even shared one with Elaina.  She decided just to drag  it on the ground and we pulled her in the wagon.  Josiah use to drag a stick on the ground when he was her age.  I guess Elaina will have to settle for the light saber bc she doesn't  have access to sticks like Josiah did.  There are no large trees in the neighbor like there were in Magnolia.

We all enjoyed our walk around the neighborhood.  It was really nice to be able to walk around in March and not end up with shoes that were covered in pollen.  There are no pine trees here so we have not had the yellow dust raining down from the trees.
