Elaina's 11 month stats

Where has the time gone?  My baby will be one next month!!!

At eleven months

• Has 8 teeth the eighth one came in on 2/18
• wears some 12 month but mainly 18 month clothes  
• wear a size 4 diaper
• Sleeping much better at night, if you wake up all we have to do is give you a paci and maybe pat your back a little.
• has finally starting saying Momma, well screaming Momma would be more accurate.  If you want to get up or eat or something you will say momma a few times then you will start screaming momma and if that doesn't work then you will yell dadda
• Turning into a baby food snob.  She will eat baby food if you thicken it with cereal and give her something to play with while you are feeding her or if you sneak bites in her mouth in between her snacks.  She would rather eat regular food that we blend up, or better yet regular food that is not pureed but cut into small bites.
• Favorite foods are spaghetti, scrambled eggs, baby oatmeal with the fruit in it, bananas, apple sauce
• Started taking a few steps.  Will walk all day holding on to something, but now will walk a few steps after letting go, especially if you are wanting to get to me or your daddy.  When you fall down you will set up and smile and start clapping.
• Since you have started walking you have a funny crawl.  You have the sole of one foot flat on the floor and the other leg is like a regular crawl.  As you crawl you push up with the foot that is flat on the floor and it looks like limping/thud type crawl.
• your ABSOLUTE FAVORITE thing is to dump boxes.  Most of the small toys are in the cube crates that go on the cubbie shelves and you love to dump them all out.  If there are no boxes on the floor you will pull one off the shelf to dump.  You have started standing next to the box and pull the toys out one by one.
• You are a really tough little girl, because most of the time you don't even blink when your brother attacks you.  You usually don't cry when he hits, pushes, or kicks you until we get on to him.  I think that you don't like us raising our voice.
• You love your brother.  When he gets sent to his room when you his in trouble you will crawl after him and cry when he shuts his door.  The other day you woke up from your nap before him and after you had been up a little while you crawled to the door of our room and stood up and started hitting on the door.  You knew that Josiah was in there and you were trying to wake him up.
• Gets into everything.  Loves to go turn the water on in our bathtub.  Tries to crawl up on the ledge under the kitchen table.  I dug 6 pieces of cat food out of your mouth the other day.  I was more worried that it was a choking hazard than you eating cat food.  The next day you went and played in the cats water bowl b/c there was no food out to eat.
•  If I move you from the kitchen to the living room, you are back in there before I can even get 2 dishes loaded in the dishwasher.
• Like to be outside.  You like your swing and to crawl around in the yard.

 This is what I found one day when I went to get you up from your nap.  Either I was not fast enough to come and get you up or you were mad that the batteries in it were so weak that what little bit of sound that came out of it sounded horrible.  You love to turn your mobile on and make sure that we notice and comment that you turned it on.
