Easter Egg Hunts

Yesterday we took the kids to a couple of local egg hunts.  First we went to our playgroup's egg hunt.  The kids had fun seeing a bunch of their friends.

This was Emmett's first attempt at hunting eggs.  He called them balls and was happy when he got 2' one for each hand.  He loved to hold onto them and chew on the them.  He had an egg in his hand most of the day.
Josiah and Elaina hunted a different area than Emmett.  They ran around and gather their eggs.  Elaina started out wanting pink and purple (purle as she says it), but quickly decided that the color didn't matter.  Josiah ran around and gather his eggs on his own, he seemed to look for eggs that were clustered together.  He did a great job of making sure everyone got eggs.

The Easter Bunny came to visit and our kids were not overly thrilled to see it.  Josiah acted tough because of his friends but wasn't too fired up to sit by him at first.  Emmett was not a fan.
And Elaina?

We couldn't even get her near the bunny.  She screamed when I moved a little to get this picture of her.

After lunch we went to the Cross Church egg hunt.  The kids had fun there too.  Emmett did a little better at letting us put the eggs in the bucket so he could pick up another.  Josiah and Elaina ran around and picked up their eggs.  This hunt was at a softball complex and each age group was on a different field.  It was not very crowed and the kids got to get several eggs.  They kept upping the limit you could get as the hunt we on.

We had a great time yesterday.  The best part was getting to spend the day together as a family and watching the kids have so much fun.
