Emmett's 1 year post

Emmett is one!  This year has flown by so fast!

• weighs 23 lbs 11 oz
• height 31 inches
• smallest of our children  he is 89th percentile in height and 84th percentile in weight.  (Click here for Josiah's 1 year and Elaina's 1 year)
• 5 teeth 
• wearing 18 months and some 24 month clothes but they are a little big.  Size 3 diaper
• decided that he was done nursing about 4 days before first birthday
• walking every where and FAST
•  can say Momma, Dada (but most of the time just dad), bye bye, dis (this), and ball very plainly
• at times it sounds like you are saying laina for Elaina
• eating some baby foods, but prefers to eat whatever we are eating
• favorites are green beans, mac and cheese, hamburger patties, oatmeal
• has the best laugh in the world.  I love making you laugh
• Will quietly play by yourself, but love following Josiah and Elaina around  
• sometimes you are so quiet I have to go look for you.  Most of the time you are in Elaina's room playing.
•  Likes to splash in toilet if the lid is left up.  Working hard to match sure toilet lid is down and the bathroom door is closed.
• Likes to beat and bang things to make noise.  If I'm cooking you will get pots and pans out of the cabinet and bang them on the tile.  
• Likes to try and help load and unload the dishwasher
• Favorite toy is any type of ball.  Loves to carry a ball around and throw it all over the place.  
•  Started sleeping through the night every night when stopped nursing
• Listens well and know what we are saying. 
•  Will go put your paci in your bed when we tell you too
• goes and get cup if told to and will go to high chair when asked if hungry at meal times
• will takes things to me or Trey when told to
• loves to make noises by dribbling your lips with your finger.  You also like to do that to other people,  if we don't make a sound when you do it to our lips you will start going baa baa baa until we do make the noise.
• HATES the nursery at church and that is a major understander statement.  You start screaming when we get about 6 feet from the door.  You are as happy as can be but when we near the door you go crazy.  You don't even like it in that room when I stay with you.  You don't really like me leaving you at preschool, but you don't have the screaming fit that you do at the nursery.  You will walk away from me and play at preschool, nursery at church takes about 15 minutes of me sitting on the floor holding you before you will venture off to play.
• I would say that you are clingy to me, but if you want to walk off from me you are perfectly fine with that; just don't let me walk away from you.  You will walk up and down the hall at preschool all day long out of my site and have a good ole time, but if I try to make you go somewhere you are not happy.
• Gets mad if you can't go outside when Josiah and Elaina do.  I have started letting you go out with them even if I can't go outside with you.  I'll open the blinds and watch from the kitchen, especially when Josiah can drive you in his jeep.
• Love being outside and your favorite outside toy is Elaina's Cozy Coupe Car
• Loves to be out and about.  You are less fussy when you are tired and we are away from the house than you are at home.
