8 months old

Josiah at 8 months old

• weighs about 24 lbs
• not sure on his length we got about 29 inches when we tried the other day but he would not cooperate and didn't have the paper to mark like at the dr office
• has 4 teeth (front 2 on both top & bottom) & at least 1 more (bottom right) trying to come in
• loves to talk; says momma and dada all the time; I swear he told us no no no when we were suctioning his nose the other day
• is highly mobile; army crawls and rolls everywhere; has not regular crawled but I think that is b/c it would slow him down
• eats 2-3 stage 2 foods a day; very good eater, likes all kinds of fruits and veggies
• takes 3-4 bottles 6-8oz each a day
• loves to go places & see people; Wal-mart, church, day care, he just loves to be around people
• wants his bed when it is time to go to sleep; when he starts to get fussy at night we know it is bed time; we put him in his crib & he will laugh and talk a little while then go to sleep
• is a rough sleeper; we never know how we will find him when we go to wake him up
• smiles and reaches for Trey & me all the time
• LOVES Cheeto (our cat); seeing Cheeto always makes him smile, he has petted Cheeto a few times and just squeals with delight.
• is a speed racer in your walker, especially if he is going after Cheeto or Magnet (other cat who is terrified of Josiah)
• loves splashing in his ducky bath tub and holding all his ducks and squirt toys at one time
• wears some 9 month cloths and a lot of 12 months; pjs have to be 12 months to be long enough
• sits up really well, until he gets tired then he throws himself back & lays down; we are going to have issues when he gets his helmet off
• can stand up if you give him something to hold on to; in the mornings we stand him up in his crib & he will grab the rails and stand there for a long time
• is in to everything; form meddling with anything around when you change his diaper to army crawling to try to get all the electronic stuff on our entertainment center.
• likes to pull things while in his walker, chair, stroller, stool, pillow he doesn't care just wants to move something with him
• is an AWESOME baby that has blessed us more than I ever could have imagined.
