Fair Fun

Yesterday we went to the Fair to see all the animals and exhibits.  Our playgroup was invited to the school day so it was free for us to get in.  The rides were not open, but my kids had a blast.

There favorite parts are the tractors and petting zoo.  They love to climb all over the trackers and lawn mowers and drive them.

They both really wanted to drive the really big one but it had a door on the cab that was locked so they had to settle for the smaller one.

Josiah like to milk the pretend cow that they had set up, and Elaina like the little goat.

Of course Josiah stopped milking and tried to hide when I took a picture
After the petting zoo we headed to the exhibits to get the kids id card from the sheriffs office.  The kids did really good waiting in line.  It helped that they had a friend and that one of the booths had popcorn that they gave them.

After we got our id we started back to the gate.  Josiah saw a digger (back hoe) and he HAD to ride it.  He was so happy to get to play with the digger.  Of course, Elaina had to also.

Emmett was super awesome at the fair.  He slept through most of it and the work up and gave everything his grump face look, until someone talked to him then he was all smiles.  I think he does that to make people talk to him more.

On the way out we stopped back by the petting zoo to play the little games that they had set up.  For $1 the kids got to play a bean bag toss, ring toss, and pick up the ducks games.  They were supper excited and did great.  It must be really hard work to sort through a bin of toys to find the perfect one, because it took them forever.  Since they played all three games they got to get 3 prizes so it really did take for ever.  They finally made there selections: Josiah got a toy kazoo, a orange spider ring, and a travel size mag-na-doodle and Elaina got purple sun glasses, a purple spider ring (even though she doesn't like spiders, but she wanted a ring), a a pink head band with flowers on it.  They had also some bracelets at some of the exhibits booths.
Elaina being a "pretty princess" in her prizes
