Josiah's Fishing trip

A Co-Worker of mine invited me and Josiah to go fishing with him in his boat. Of Course Josiah was SOOOO excited, and so was I. The day started off at the store that we stopped at to get gas in the boat. Josiah had to have a snack and drink, the snack was not the issue but rather the choice of drink he choose. He picked out a cucumber powerade, which was awful, and only got worse as it warmed up.

When we hit the lake Josiah's excitement hit all-time highs. As soon as we got out of the wake zone and throttled up, you couldn't knock the smile off his face. He wanted to go faster and faster, the lake was calm so we obliged.

The fishing was also awesome, except that the crickets we bought at walmart had only 5-10 alive in the box of 100. We caught 7-8 fish in the first 30-40 minutes and Josiah was hooked. Then we ran out of Crickets which made him pretty sad.

So we boated back to a marina to get some more bait, all they had were worms. And an ice cream sandwich which he also enjoyed. The worms were a complete failure, no fish!

We kept fishing though and met a man who gave us some artificial crickets, and the fish started biting again. All in all everyone had a blast. Josiah still gets tickled talking about the stick that Coach Whatley caught. For some reason that made a huge impact on him.
