Here are some things that have happened with Emmett during my blogging break
- Potty Trained!!!!! No more diapers for us. Emmett was a little stubborn with the potty training but thankfully we were done before we moved into the camper. The defining moment for him was one evening everyone was playing in the living room (or lillyn room as he called it) and all of a sudden he started screaming like he was dying. No one was near him but he was frozen and screaming. I rushed to him to find out what was wrong and he started crying my toes my toes. I looked down and some how he had pooped in his undies and it fell out and landed on his foot. By some miracle it did not get anywhere else. He was so traumatized that he really started working harder on telling us about needing to potty. He also didn't stop playing in time at my parents house and pooped his undies and my dad told him that he could stay at his house if he didn't use the potty. Emmett took him serious and that was the goal as he started going to the potty. No more asking for monies he wanted stickers (or small drawings bc we didn't have stickers) so he could work towards going to mammaw and papaw's house.

- Terrified of dogs. He wants so much to like them, but he just doesn't. He is genuinely terrified if any dog pays him any attention. Big, small, calm, hyper, it doesn't matter; if the dog looks at him and moves in any way he will scream. He liked the Springdale librarian's dog. It was a therapy dog and didn't move much so he was happy with it.
- Talking up a storm and is as plain as can be. The kid can tell you what ever he needs to tell you. He has gotten in a bad habit of trying to pull the "but daddy said" if he doesn't like what I tell him. He sounds so country. The word bed has at least 2 if not 3 syllables when he says it.
- Still cries sometimes when we drop him off at church. Has been telling us lately that he is not going to cry and hasn't. He is are clingiest one. He will let us hold him more and will come sit in my lap at the library. He especially wants to be held and will throw a fit about it when we are unable to hold him, such as in the middle of cooking supper or using the restroom.
- Daredevil. The kid knows no fear. He about drove me crazy in the camper climbing over things or jumping off things. He is sneakier and quieter than the older two. He doesn't tell you what he is going to do; he just makes sure you know what he has done if you don't see it.

- Stubborn as the day is long. If things don't go his way he is going to let you to hear about it. He makes even Elaina seem easy going. If he doesn't want to do something it is not very easy to get him to do it. He doesn't forget or get distracted from his want easily.
- Rides his balance bike all over the place. He has started to figure out the pedals on his tricycle. He favorite is the bike. He has gotten really fast on it. He also likes to ride is little spider man four wheeler too. We have a long concrete drive way so he has plenty of room to ride around on it.
- In a big boy bed. He had to get out of his crib when we moved into the camper, so when we got in the house we kept him out of it. Sometimes I wish we still had it just to keep him still at night. He and Elaina share a room and he often gets up just to stay awake, so he starts out in our bed a lot and gets moved to his after he goes to sleep.
- He is the funniest of our kids and has the best laugh. When he is happy (which he generally is) his whole face lights up and you can't help but smile with him. He is always doing something to make us laugh. This past football season he started yelling at Trey from the stands no matter what was going on or how far away from him we were. He would yell "Dad, Hey Dad." and then start doing this little dance with his fist up at hos face with his elbows out. Didn't matter if Trey could hear him or not.
- Loves Magnet our cat and calls him Our Cat. That started when he stayed with my parents the last week we were in the camper and Magnet was with my parents. Mom would tell him that was his or our cat so that is what he calls him now.
