Santa visits and Josiah's Christmas Party

Emmett was not a big fan of Santa this year.  He had told us all along that he didn't like Santa, and when we asked him why he said that Santa punched him.  No clue where he got that but apparently at some point he got the idea that Santa punches people.  Only Emmett

Well about a week before we had planned to see Santa Emmett decided that he wanted a Barney (yes Barney the purple dinosaur) toy.  The night before we went he decided that he wanted to see Santa so he could tell him that he wanted a Barney toy.  When we pulled up he decided that he would stand by Santa but not sit in his lap.  Yeah that's how it went.........

He was not happy and didn't want any part of it.  He did decide to yell towards Santa that he wanted a Barney toy will I was holding him.  He also threw his version of the devil to Santa.  Santa really took a lot of time with the kids and talked to them and listened to their wishes.  Elaina wanted Shopkins toys and Josiah wanted a skateboard and pads.  Santa also gave the kids a bell from his sleigh.  The kids were so excited about that it went straight to our tree as Santa instructed.
Listening to Santa read a story.
Decided that he didn't want to be near Santa anymore.  He caught me trying to take a selfie to send to Trey saying he didn't want to be near Santa anymore and he started making faces.

A couple of weeks later we saw Santa again at the library.  There were no tears this time, but Emmett wasn't going to get to near him either.  He did sit with Elaina for a little while to listen to the story, but soon ended up back glued to me.
This was the closest he ever got to Santa and that was only because he didn't know that Santa was behind him

I was able to got to Josiah's Christmas party at school.  Thanks to Danielle for letting the little 2 hang out at her house and play with her kids.  They had a blast and I was able to go to Josiah's class by myself.  Josiah worked hard on his gift to Mrs. Warren.  He made her Rudolph Diet Dr Peppers and made her a card.  He was so proud of his gift to her.
He knew what he wanted the card to say.  I just had to help with the spelling
Front of the card
They couldn't all be Rudolph.  We had to have a Blue Devil one.

At his party they made Christmas trees out of ice cream cones, icing, and candy.   They had some snacks and had a snowball fight with balloons.  It was a great party and all the kids had fun.  Josiah was so excited that Trey and I were both able to come.  He loved that we got to see his friends and classroom.
He just saw Daddy walk in

The party was Thursday and Friday was a come if you want to day, and of course Josiah wanted to go.  He was excited about all the things that his teacher had told them they would get to do.  Sing in the cafeteria, take down the Christmas tree, and do chores to clean up the room.  Wish he was half as excited to do chores around the house.  Friday was also ugly sweater day, so Josiah made one to wear.  He had fun creating all the items for his shirt and then told me where to put them.  I think he created a great "ugly" Christmas sweater.
