Indoor Snowball Fight

Today we had ridiculously cold FREEZING weather.  The high was 9 with a wind chill in the -20s so I did not even think about getting the kids out of the house, so  I used an idea that a friend at our preschool coop used during games at our Christmas party.  We had and indoor snowball fight with cotton balls.  The kids LOVED it.

I got several handfuls of cotton balls out of the bag and Trey and I surprise attacked Josiah with a snowball fight.  Elaina didn't get to participate at first because she refused to help pick up the toys in the living room (Perk number 1 of an indoor snow ball fight is that they have to clean up the toys before we could have one).  He was so excited that he grabbed the cotton and started throwing them back at us.

After a few minutes Trey sent Elaina to her room to pick up a little in there so she could earn the privilege to join the game (we had told them to pick up so we could do something super fun and she refused to help).  She quickly picked up the mess in her room and came to join the fight.

They were giggling and running all over the living room (perk number 2 was that they burned off a lot of energy).  Emmett was in his jumperoo giggling right along with them.  He loved watching the craziness. 

They even included him in on the fight and threw a few "snowballs" at him.  Perk 3 of an cotton ball fight they cant hurt Emmett with it.  He loved that they were playing with him to.  (It won't be long before he will be right in the middle of things too). 

Looks like we might have another one tomorrow, because tomorrow is suppose to be another cold day with no school.  This is the first Snow Days that we have had since we moved up here (this is the 3rd school year) and this makes number 7 and it is just the 1st of January.
