After Josiah got his helmet off (I'll post on that later. Forgot to take an after picture and he is already in bed) we went to the zoo. We had a lot of fun & Josiah seemed to really enjoy it. Although he loves anything outside.
Josiah enjoyed looking at the pretty birds, playing on the playground, and even thought he saw a really big Cheeto.
We got to see a baby Chimpanzee. It was born in October and the mother would let it down at times to walk by itself. If any of the other Chimps are near she carries it under her belly. It was so cute.
There was also a young gorilla. It was so funny to watch it play with its daddy. The dad was hiding in a cave when we 1st walked over to the gorillas. The little one went by the cave and the daddy came running out at it. The little one wrestled around with it for a while the the big one took off running & the little one would chase after his daddy. The dad would play around with the little one, but when it got over by the fence where some of the zoo keepers were working outside he made sure that he stayed between the fence and the baby, even though the baby was not happy about it.
The elephants come up close enough for you to touch. After their workouts the trainers bring them up to the fence and let you them & take pictures. Trey and I petted them right away, but Josiah was not so sure. We finally got him to touch it but I was not at the right angle to get a good picture.

That cat stretching out on his back looks like Sage when he's sleeping comfortably...I love the zoo!!
