Trunk or Treat

Our church always does a trunk or treat (were people decorate the trunks of their vehicles and hand out candy) on Halloween.  I was not sure if we were going to make it this year or not.  We had such a busy day on Saturday, but I thought we would try when Trey got his super break. 
Josiah took his nap when we got home after church; it was about 1:30 when he got to bed.  The little monster must have been completely exhausted because he sleep till almost 5:00.  I woke him up when he made the first little peep.  When I walked in the room the 1st thing he said was Dada.  He kept asking for Trey and I kept telling him that Daddy was at work and would be home in a little while.  We ate supper and he kept asking for his Dada.  Trey texted me saying he was not sure when they would get a break so I decided to take him on up to the church. 

He had a blast! He walked through all the cars not really that interested in the candy.  He wanted to check out the puppies and the lights that were used as decorations.  He did get excited about the toothbrush that he got.  He loves when we brush his teeth, and then he will finish up by brushing them himself. 

As soon as he saw the tractor pull up to let kids off the hayride and pick up a new load, he was running that direction.  He REALLY wanted to go on the hayride right then.  So we climbed on the trailer and went for a ride.

After we got off the hayride we went walking back through the cars so Josiah could trunk or treat.  While we were walking down the the lot, Josiah saw his Daddy and got really excited.  He was able to fly above Trey's head.  We had fun the rest of the evening.

I was a little concerned that Josiah would not want to go to bed because he took such a long nap.  But he went right to bed when we got home.  The little guy was so tired that he went right to sleep.
