One of the advantages of living in NWA is all the activities that they have here for kids. The weekend before Easter we went to an egg hunt that was at the University of Arkansas Garden. The Garden was next to the track and they were having a meet. It brought back memories of grad school. Across the street they were playing rugby and of course Josiah (and Trey) loved that. Ok back to the egg hunt. This year was Elaina's 2nd Easter, but since she was only a week or so old last year this was the 1st time that she got to participate.
The Easter Bunny came to visit. Elaina was less than thrilled to see him and Josiah was indifferent. He was more interested in everything else that was going on.
Elaina was ok at 1st and then she realized what was standing next to her. Then the screams came, but at least they were muffled by the paci.
Josiah was excited about the egg hunt. He was so excited when they told the kids to start hunting the eggs. He did a great job. He would pick up an egg, put it into his basket, and run to the next egg.
Elaina even got into the action. She grabbed two eggs right away and held on to them for dear life. I showed her how to put them in her basket and then she grabbed another one and walked around with her basket and eggs. She was just too cute.
After the egg hunt we were able to get Josiah to sit next to the Easter Bunny by telling him he could have a piece of candy out of one of his eggs after we took his picture. We were able to get a great picture. Who knew that candy would do the trick.
We didn't even try to get another one of Elaina. I didn't want to traumatize her or the poor Easter Bunny anymore. So we went and had a cupcake before we left. As we were leaving Josiah had to climb up the steps to check out the Razorback.
