March Helmet update

Yesterday we went to Children's for Josiah's helmet check up. We got a great report. He had major growth & this time it was where we needed it to be. Last month the "good" side grew 1/16 of an inch & that made the numbers appear to be worse. His head still looked better but the index that the computer uses went from a 3.9 (in Jan) to a 5.7 (in Feb). This time it was a 3.5 which is the best we have had; he started at a 9 something. I will admit last month I was a little disappointed, but I am so excited about the overall improvement.

It was amazing to see how much Josiah's head has grown since October when we had the 1st scan. The computer is able to compare 2 different scans and show you the difference in the growth. Bryan (the PT) put the October scan up & then put the March one on top of it and the improvement was incredible. Here are a few photos that show how much he has grown.

We had to entertain Josiah while Bryan made some adjustments to the helmet. Josiah has grown so much since October that he had to give him a little more room. He had to remove some of the foam from the front of the helmet. Now Josiah doesn't look like he is scowling anymore.
