We did set the plate down on his high chair, mainly to take pictures (which was a mistake b/c he screamed when we picked it up). He was able to feed himself the green beans and pieces of the roll, but the poppy seed chicken was a little too messy.
He had just gotten out of the tub so we didn't want him to make a big mess.
The food taste much better than it looks, but what food really looks good all smashed up for a baby?
This is one of our favorite recipes. Our neighbor made it for us right after I had Josiah and we LOVED it. It is one of our favorites now. I even made it for a friend who had a baby 6 weeks after Josiah was born.
After supper Josiah played for a while & then took a milk bottle. At times he does great with milk & then the next bottle he doesn't want it. I think he likes it better when it is not real cold. He is also doing great with his sippy cup. He loves to drink out of it and carry it around with him as he plays. Before supper we went for a walk, and after we got home we gave him some ice water because he was hot & he drank it all up.
