Yesterday was Josiah's 1st birthday. He woke up so happy and had a great day.
We had his party at the church so we could use the playground. Josiah LOVES being outside and the fenced in area gave him the freedom that he wants. He was able to wonder all of the playground and be a big boy. First he played on the swings.
He is such a big boy in the swing. He can sit up all on his own in the big kid swings. After that he played with Tyler.
They played at the fence for a little while then went to Josiah's new favorite toy.
The helicopter that he could "drive;" he kept going back to that all day.
My mom and dad got Josiah a wagon for his birthday. Trey pulled the boys around in it for a little while. After they played on the helicopter Tyler decided that he wanted back in the wagon and Josiah thought he needed to pull him.
After play time we gave him his cake.
I made both the party cake and his smash cake (with Trey's help). I thought they turned out pretty good.
Josiah had blast with his cake & really enjoyed it. He cried when he took it away from him. He made a big mess; he even got the cake bits into his sippy cup.
After cake time he opened his presents and then played a little more. Of course he went back to the little helicopter. We all had a great time but were exhausted. We were still tired today; all 3 of us took a 2 hour nap this afternoon.
