Fun Day

We decided to plan a super special day for Josiah today, since I start back to work on Monday.  This morning we let him sleep until he was ready to get up since this will be the last day of that for a while.  After breakfast we decided to take a walk.  The weather was nice; it was a little humid, but the temp was only in the mid 90s so it felt really good.  We had 2 friends who live close to us that were having garage sales so we decided to walk by and see them.  At the 1st stop Josiah got to play with their little boy who was swimming.  Josiah was splashing in the water and then he found the water hose.  He is obsessed with water hoses.  He had gotten so wet playing that Trey set him in the pool.  He had a blast playing with his friend in the pool.  When it was time to leave they gave us a diaper and loaned us a suit of cloths.  Josiah did not want to get out of the water and leave, but once we put him in the wagon and started walking he was fine.

We then walked to one of Trey's coworkers house for their garage sale.  Josiah reached for a stick that was on the road.  We gave him the stick and he drug it on the ground during the whole walk.  After we left the 2nd sale (we didn't buy anything at either) we came home ate lunch and put Josiah down for his nap.
He loves the water hose
After nap time we took him out to play in his pool and with our water hose.  Yesterday we went to visit Trey's family and Josiah got a nozzle that made the water hose like a toy fire hose.  Josiah LOVED it.  He had so much fun spraying both of us with water.  I tried to give him a mohawk but he didn't have enough hair, so I just made it stick out in random places.  It was really nice outside today.  After Josiah soaked me with the hose, it actually felt cool in the shade when the wind was blowing.

We played outside in the water for over an hour, and I thought that we should give him a bath in his pool.  It was easier than bring him inside to take a bath.  We only had to deal with him crying once when we took him out of the water.  You could tell that he was tired but he did NOT want to get out and go inside.

After we got cleaned up we went out to eat at Flying Burger.  We decided to order Josiah a cheeseburger; thinking we can save the leftover for tomorrow.  The little piggy ate it all.  When we got home he was exhausted.  He went to bed about an hour earlier than normal and he didn't even squeak.

I think that we had a great day to end our summer with.  Who knows, we may even have a swim day tomorrow after church.
